Ocean Delight caught up with Executive Chef Dominique Beens, of Krave Restuarant, located in the Tarouba Plaza, Marabella. Krave is a welcomed addition to the growing number of eateries and activities in this bustling town. Serving a variety of dishes including Sushi, Krave Resturant has exploded onto the scene since its doors opened in late 2014.

Interview with Chef Dominique BeensÂ of Krave Restuarant.
1. Where are you from originally?
Iâ€™m from Belgium.
2. How did you become a chef?
I liked it since I was ten years old, and when I was fourteen years old, I decided to go to the hotel school until I was eighteen years old.
3. How long have you been an executive chef?
I have been an executive chef for 15 years.
4. What is your favourite seafood?
I love shrimp and scallops.
5. Can you provide a simple recipe for that seafood?
Sautee the shrimp in butter with a little garlic and diced onions for a few minutes. When they are nicely sautÃ©ed, add diced fresh mango, chives and a little heavy cream.
Let them simmer for a few minutes and serve them hot. â€œ Bon appetit.â€
6. Is there a style of cooking that is particularly pleasing to you?
I like European cuisine mixed with tropical cuisine
7 .What Krave seafood dish do you enjoy the most?
The jumbo prawns are great, but the Corvina fillet is also superb. I like them both it is difficult to choose.
8. Do you have any tips on healthy low-calorie cooking techniques?
You can eat healthy if you steam your seafood and serve with fresh vegetables
9. What is your most memorable moment as a chef?
I served the current Belgian king when he visited Panama. At that time, he was still the Prince.
